Book Week 2026
Kai, Halle and Ava had a chance to go to the Aboriginal Learners STEM Congress where they engaged in lots of fun activities such as a water management town planning session, making lip gloss and studying animal skulls.
It was a wonderful two day conference where they enjoyed participating in the sessions and learning about Aboriginal culture connecting to STEM learning.
“A highlight for me was learning about jobs you can get to make and build submarines.” – Halle
“My favourite thing was making lip balm using Kakadu plum oil.” – Kai
“One of the best things was watching Nitro Nat show sound waves using fire.” – Ava
A huge thank you to Kath Moore for organising this worthwhile event and Marie Newcombe for supervising.
