School Sport

West Beach Primary School has a long history of sporting success. The school runs a Physical Education program that includes specialised sports coaches in a variety of sports. We have a reputation for being a fair and respectful sporting school.

 

St Clair Recreation Centre Sports: 

Sports on offer (pending received player nominations) for Semester 1 and Semester 2 2025

Basketball:

  • Year 2/3: Mondays
  • Year 3/4: Tuesdays
  • Year 5/6: Tuesdays
  • Rec/Year 1: Wednesdays

Netball:

  • Year 2/3: Wednesdays
  • Year 3/4: Thursdays
  • Year 5/6: Thursdays

Volleyball:

  • Year 3-6: Fridays

Soccer Term 2 & 3 (Jubilee Park, West Lakes or Brocas Avenue, St. Clair) :

Games: Played on Saturday mornings (Beginning 10th May 2025).

No games are played during the June long weekend or the July school holidays.

Game times will vary through the season from as early as 8am and as late as 1pm.

Location: Jubilee Park, West Lakes or Brocas Avenue, St. Clair

Age group: There will be a girls-only U6 and U7 league this year as well as mixed U6 and U7. All other age groups are played in mixed teams. Your age group is defined by your birthday in the calendar year. Players may play up one age group if needed to make up teams, but not down an age group. Eg. if you turn 7 this year, you can play U7 or U8.

Teams: Under 6/4 players on the field, up to 7 in squad

Under 7, 8, 9 7 players on the field, up to 11 in squad Under 10, 11, Seniors 9 players on the field, up to 15 in squad.

AFL Football Term 2 & 3 (West Beach playing fields)

1 hour games, modified rules, must have 1 season of Auskick completed. 

Open to year 1's to 'play up' and year 3's to 'play down'.

  • Cricket Blast
  • SMAA Netball Clinic
  • Aus Kick
